Minutes of Meeting
May 17, 2003

We had a great meeting at the Sunrise Detachment House in Massapequa.
Discussed the new website that Mary has created for us.
She's requesting members report news to her that she can include on the site.
Website is www.WMA-Paumanok.org (note the dash and not a dot after WMA).

Discussed our sending the 2 big boxes to women marines in Iraq and the "Random Act of Kindness" re the $50.00 donation given to us by a stranger helping us send a package to women marines we don't know, but are fighting for our freedom.

We have received a generous donation from Huntington Det. Marine Corps League so now we request your suggestion/s as to women/male veterans projects we could contribute to.

Did you see the recent issue of 'Nouncements? It has a picture of our group at the 60th Anniversary luncheon along with the article.

Sorry to say that of the 125 raffle tickets I sold and the 25 that Marge sold, we had no winners at the VAVS luncheon...at least the money is going for a good purpose.

Next meeting will be at noon on July 12 at the Greek Village Restaurant in Commack. That's
at 44 Veterans Hwy.  The restaurant is in the Macy's shopping plaza and Veterans Hwy goes south off Jericho Tpke just east of Commack Rd.
